FM.com and the FM Resilience Index

FM is one of the world’s largest commercial property insurers, and its website is how the market understands what it sells. When the company rebranded in 2024, the site had to carry the new brand across a large content estate maintained by marketing and content teams that publish every week.

I led experience design for the redesign: discovery sessions with senior stakeholders, the information architecture, prototypes in Figma and HTML, and documentation for components and brand standards. The main deliverable was a reusable design system, so teams could build consistent pages without a designer reviewing each one. I worked directly with the development teams implementing it in Sitecore.

The Resilience Index ranks countries on the resilience of their business environment and presents it on an interactive map. I led task-based usability research on it: could people navigate the map, find help, and read the data correctly?

The study found friction in map scrolling and navigation, in finding help, and in interpreting the charts. Each finding became a specific recommendation for the product team on interaction cues and data exploration.

Before FM, from December 2021 to March 2022, I was a senior experience designer on the Digitas and GroupeConnect teams supporting BankofAmerica.com: product discovery and user research for initiatives requested by the bank’s leadership, and contributions to its enterprise design system.
